Jacob Nim Jørgensen specialises in the sale and purchase of real estate, focusing primarily on project development, real-estate transactions and commercial properties, including in particular the negotiation as well as drafting of contracts and due-diligence processes. Jacob is widely experienced especially in the acquisition and development of properties for residential purposes as well as in project/multi-property sales. 

Jacob deals mainly with the sale and purchase of commercial, investment and rental properties as well as undeveloped areas and building plots. 

Jacob advises property investors, project promoters, private individuals and developers, etc. within real estate in general and deals with matters concerning parcelling-out and division into owner-occupied flats as well as land-registration issues. 

Jacob also provides advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other transactions involving real estate. Jacob is, moreover, widely experienced in negotiating and concluding contracts relating to real estate. Furthermore, Jacob deals with residential and business lease law. 

Jacob authored the publication “Professional liability of consultants in construction law – including liability for delays”, which was published (in Danish only) in Retsvidenskabeligt Tidsskrift (a Danish journal of outstanding legal theses) and includes an analysis of the liability of consultants in light of the clarity and accuracy of tender documents.

  • Jacob acted for Danish asset manager Formuepleje on the sale of a property portfolio to two Catella foundations, which thus acquired residential and business leases. 
  • Jacob acted for Danish asset manager Formuepleje on the acquisition of the major part of the Nicolinehus residential and commercial property for just under DKK 1bn, which made it the largest single property purchase so far in Aarhus. 
  • Jacob acted for the sellers of the circular rental property Colosseum in the heart of Aarhus to SØM Ejendomme in a DKK 262m sale.
