Signe Melhedegård Hansen

Signe Melhedegård Hansen deals mainly with insolvency law, including the administration of bankruptcy estates and restructuring of distressed enterprises as well as the handling of issues relating to charges and avoidance proceedings. Signe has extensive experience in administering large bankruptcy estates, including bankruptcy estates of groups. She also deals with the administration of personal bankruptcy estates. 

Moreover, Signe focuses particularly on the sale and management of distressed properties of bankruptcy estates, including the handling of lease-law issues. Signe is also widely experienced in dealing with large enterprises in operation, including dealing with employee issues and ensuring future operation as part of the business transfer of the viable parts of an enterprise. In addition, Signe deals with the liquidation of solvent enterprises as well as general issues of commercial law. 

Signe previously lectured at the University of Copenhagen in the subject Security interests and creditors’ rights, and Signe was also a supervisor and examiner at the Bachelor of Law Programme. 

Signe has been appointed to the panel of insolvency attorneys set up by the Danish Debt Collection Agency within the judicial district of the Maritime and Commercial High Court.
