John Emil Lyngfeldt Svenson
John Emil Lyngfeldt Svensson specialises in M&A, providing advice in all phases of transaction processes.
John is recognised by IFLR1000 and The Legal500 and was selected in 2019 for Berlingske Talent 100, which is a list of the most promising business talents in Denmark under the age of 35.
He acts for Danish and international businesses, private equity funds and venture capital sponsors, financial institutions and insurance companies.
John deals primarily with M&A, providing legal advice to clients in all phases of transaction processes, including in real-estate transactions.
He has been involved in a wide range of complex and cross-border transactions, acting for clients such as Goldman Sachs, HG Capital, Bain Capital, Polaris Equity Partners, Kirk Kapital, BWB Partners and Triton.
John has previously worked as an M&A lawyer for a US Tier 1 law firm in New York, where he handled several major transactions for a number of large Danish companies, e.g. LeoPharma, Novozymes and Danfoss.
He also has a wealth of experience in advising on corporate governance, W&I insurance and general company law.
John is a member of the Executive Committee of Foreningen for Aktiv Langsigtet Kapital (the Danish association for active long-term capital) as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Nitor Energy A/S. He previously served as a part-time lecturer in Company law and M&A at the University of Copenhagen, 2010-2018.
