Annemette Ellermann
Annemette Ellermann advises on intellectual property rights and marketing law, focusing on trademarks, designs, domain names, naming rights and imitation. Her advice extends to the establishment of rights, agreements on rights and enforcement of rights.
Annemette has a right of audience before the Danish High Courts and is recognised by The Legal 500 within ‘Intellectual property’ as well as in IP STARS and by Who's Who Legal within ‘IP Trademarks’.
Annemette provides advice to Danish and international businesses within industries such as retail, clothing, industry, restaurant, technology, toy and food. She advises on trademarks and designs, choice of trademark and registration strategies for trademarks and designs. She assists in enforcing rights, both administratively before the authorities and before the courts, as well as assisting in licence agreements and other agreements involving IP rights.
Annemette has long-standing experience in alternative dispute resolution and in achieving commercial solutions to disputes. She usually advises on disputes involving trademarks, designs and products. She also advises on agreements involving IP rights and on the preparation of protection strategies. Moreover, she provides advice regarding product safety, food labelling and terms of business.
Annemette is an active member of Danske Advokaters fagudvalg for IP, forbruger- og markedsføringsret (a specialist committee on IP, consumer and marketing law at the Association of Danish Law Firms). As part of this committee work, she has been involved in preparing consultation responses regarding amendments to acts within that field of law.

- Annemette acted for a large Danish children’s clothing business of repute in a matter regarding protection of distinctive marks and trademark in Asia.
- Annemette advised a major Danish fast-food chain on a dispute over rights in a name.
- Annemette acted for a Danish fashion business in negotiations in a European dispute over a textile print subject to copyright protection.
