FIDIC – Comparison to Nordics Forms (19 May)

event
19 May 2022

We are pleased to continue our international FIDIC based webinars programme, and are delighted to invite you to a series of two webinars where we will discuss the approach taken under the FIDIC Yellow Book (Design & Build, 1999 version) when compared with the standard forms used in the Nordics countries. We will do this focusing on key construction risks and will also look at the different approaches taken by local law in these countries (as compared with English law) where there are notable differences.

At these webinars we will be focusing on the following key risks:

  • Design/Fitness for purpose responsibility
  • Completion and delay
  • Defects liability
  • Payment options
  • Limits of Liability
  • Force majeure/similar relief
  • Termination rights and remedies
  • Dispute resolution

The two, one-hour long webinars will run across separate days, and you can register to either one or to both of them.

We are really keen that our webinars are as focused and relevant to the issues you face in your day-to-day business as possible. We therefore encourage you to send us your thoughts, ideas, issues, or scenarios that you would like us to consider in our session in advance and to the following hyperlinked email address DLA Piper FIDIC Team.

Please do not worry about formalizing your input; it can be as rough and ready as you like. Of course, to fully incorporate your ideas in our presentation, it would be helpful to receive these by no later than 6 May 2021. You are also welcome to raise any question via a Q&A function during the talk and there will be the usual Q&A session at the end.
