Emil Agerskov Thuesen advises Danish and international clients on personal data law (data protection) and IT law.

Emil is highly skilled within data protection law and advises on aspects such as compliance, risk management, data security, impact assessments, security breach, international data transfers, data subject rights, and policies and agreements relating to data protection. In addition, Emil has wide experience of a number of particularly complex data protection issues such as data protection in connection with outsourcing and business transfers, the use of new technologies and negotiation of critical data processing agreements.

Furthermore, Emil advises clients on IT law issues, including IT contracts, outsourcing and ePrivacy and e-commerce law.

Emil assisted Danish football club Brøndbyernes I.F. Fodbold A/S in obtaining the Danish Data Protection Agency’s authorisation to use automatic facial recognition.

As a part of DLA Piper’s team, Emil assisted a public authority in drafting a contract concerning outsourcing and legacy reduction of a major IT system.

Emil has assisted in data protection and IT due diligence in connection with a large number of business transfers.
